Orion's Neighborhood - This is a classic view of the winter sky in the northern hemisphere. The constellation of Orion is front and center, as well as the night's brightest star Sirius to the lower left of Orion. The "v" shaped Hyades star cluster and smaller sized Pleiades cluster are visible to the upper right. Jupiter joins the bunch appearing as a bright "star" close to and to the right of the Hyades.
